The Game Room is No More

My employer, Abacus, has had a game room in our office since we were purchased by DoubleClick in the fall of 2000. It was a wonderful perk, there was foosball, ping pong, pool, and some arcade games.

I've received a lot of teasing from certain family members about how rough it is to go to work and have to play ping pong/ foosball. Well that can stop now. Our company is moving to a new location and the president has decided the games will not be coming. These items were put up for auction this past week.

I purchased two items, bet you can't guess what they are. One is a concrete patio table and the other is a broken arcade game.

Our new patio table
Today Roco and I are going to remove a stump and setup the patio table.

Worked on this for most of the morning and afternoon so far. I've make a good bit of progress considering the tools I've been using: Dad's electric chain saw, axe and sledgehammer/axe. I've also been using a steel pole that I usually use only for breaking up concrete holding fence posts in the ground.

The Arcade Game, called Virtual On, is a two seater where two players can battle it out with MechWarrior type robots. Quite fun. I used the horse trailer to transport it from the office to our home.

My cousin Chris has experience repairing these and will be helping me restore and sell it (for a profit we hope).

You can't sell the game until I have had a chance to play it, can you? It is kind of lonely down here. I miss you all.
